Alyssa's love and passion for food and nutrition led her to Johnson and Wales University. After graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Culinary Nutrition she further developed her knowledge base at Saint Joseph's College where she completed her dietetic internship to become a Registered Dietitian.
Alyssa started her career with women, infants and children in Rhode Island at a local WIC program. She then transitioned to nephrology where she was able to broaden her skillset and medical background. Alyssa has over 11 years of experience in the outpatient clinical setting working with both adult and pediatric patients. Alyssa’s passion for serving women, infants and children lead her to Small Steps Therapy where she is able to fully utilize her skillset. Alyssa also enjoys supporting the mother and baby dyad during their breastfeeding journey, providing feeding therapy for infants, toddlers and children, picky eating and/ or weight management and providing therapeutic diet education and support to patients of all ages.
